Easy as pie, Dr. William Malzone removed the top of his “patient’s” head and started scooping. And when he was finished, the operation was a great success – even though the patient ended up light-headed. It was all in fun and for a good cause Saturday, Oct. 28, when Dr. Malzone and other local physicians took part in the first “Dr. Scissorhands Pumpkin Carving Exhibition,” sponsored by Lakeland's Downtown Farmers Curb Market. The event was held at the Curtis Peterson Building Plaza at 200 N. Kentucky Ave. Along with Dr. Malzone – who is Clark & Daughtrey’s neurologist – the doctors who operated on the pumpkins included Dr. Faeza R. Kazmier, Watson Clinic Women's Health Center; Dr. Glen Barden, Watson Clinic; Dr. Elisabeth Dupont, Watson Clinic Women's Health Center; and Dr. Matthew Cory, Lakeside Pediatric Group.
